• Johnson was a first round draft pick of the White Sox in 1994, and was signed by the Chicago Cubs as a minor league free agent on November 25, 2008.
• Johnson has enjoyed 16 professional seasons on the field, including 332 major league games with the White Sox (1998-2002), Athletics (2003), Brewers (2004) and Cardinals (2008).

2008- Posted a .371 on-base percentage. Was called up to St. Louis when rosters expanded in September and played in 10 games going 5-for-17 (.294).
2007- Batted a career-high .320 for Tucson (PCL). Appeared in the triple-A All-Star game and went 0-1 with a walk. 
2004- Spent the entire season with Indianapolis and was a Septemeber call-up for the Brewers.
2002- His .994 fielding percentage ranked seventh among American League catchers.
2001- Posted a .992 fielding percentage and caught 31.9% of would-be basestealers (15-for-47).
1999- Hit his first big league home run on May 26 at Cleveland off Dave Burba.
1998- Named a Southern league post-season All-Star. Promoted to Chicago on September 7 and made his major league debut on September 14 at Detroit. Hit a triple off Pedro Martinez for his first big league hit on September 19 vs. Boston.
1997- Led the minor leagues in walks (106).
1996- Selected as the starting catcher and had five RBI in the Midwest League All-Star game on June 12. Background- Selected by the White Sox in the first round (26th overall) of the First-Year Player Draft in 1994.
